Our Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) training program is approved by the Department of Health and Hospitals and utilizes one of DHH’s approved curricula. The program is designed to give the participant an opportunity to certify in two weeks. The curriculum hours are a total of 80 hours which include 40 hours of classroom instruction and 40 hours of clinical experience. All instructors are Registered or Licensed Practical Nurses approved by the Department of Health and Hospitals and approved to teach Nurse Assistant Training Courses.
Our facility is located at The Elms at Bluebonnet, 4580 Bluebonnet Blvd., Suite B, in the city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The classroom is equipped with audio-visual and training tables with chairs which comfortably seats a maximum of 23 students. The usual class size is 10-15 students. A 46 inch flat screen TV is used for AV and power point presentations.
Our Skills Lab is simulated to represent a hospital room equipped with a hospital bed, bed side table, wheelchair, IV pole and other medical equipment.
Program Overview
CNA certification courses include both hands-on experience at facilities and basic biology and health coursework with an emphasis on areas such as an introduction to healthcare, communication and interpersonal skills, basic nursing skills, body systems structure and function, infection control, safety/emergency procedure, CPR-cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Course participants are prepared for an entry level position and can seek employment in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and home health agencies. Upon successfully completing the program, the trainees are certified and registered as a Certified Nurse Aide in the state of Louisiana.

Course Requirements
Costs associated with the course requirements below are included in the course fee. Every student must:
Identify Verification - All students must have valid legal identification and be at least 18 years old Medical Tests - Physical Exam, TB Test, Drug Test Criminal Background Check - Students must be cleared of any criminal convictions before entrance into the course.
Upon successful completion of the program, the appropriate form will be submitted to the Louisiana Nurse Aide Registry so that the nurse aide may receive certification.
Registration and Pricing
This program requires a total of 80 hours for two weeks, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. We offer two courses each month, with new classes starting every two weeks. New students must register two weeks prior to the course in which you want to enroll.
There is a non-refundable registration fee of $150.
Total Program Tuition: $700.00
$350.00 with the signing of the enrollment certificate and the balance of $350.00 to be paid upon entrance. This tuition includes: Registration fee, tuition, liability insurance, books, physical exam, TB skin test, drug test, criminal background check, 1 uniform, and the final exam fee.
